The Dee Events Center plays host to the battle between the Weber State Wildcats and Northern Colorado Bears.
Northern Colorado is in danger of dropping down in the Big Sky standings as they are mired in a three game skid after dropping a 73-70 decision at Idaho State on Thursday. The Bears are one game ahead of four teams at 7-4 which has loosened their grip on second. The Bears and Bengals were close throughout with UNC hitting at a lofty 51% from the floor but the home team stayed alive on 46% accuracy and won it thanks to 17-10 advantage at the charity stripe. Derrick Barden led the offense with 14 points and seven pulls with Jordan Wilson next in line with 13 while two players scored nine points and two netted eight points.

When talking about the Big Sky, Weber State is always associated with being one of the elite squads in the conference. That appears to be true once again with the Wildcats owning first place with a 9-2 recohich is two games ahead of second place Northern Colorado. Defense has been a strong suit for the Wildcats although the offense grabbed some headlines after dispatching of North Dakota 84-72 on Thursday. Weber State led the shotting battle 48%-45% with the decisive number coming at the line where the Fighting Sioux fell short by a 24-12 count. Davion Berry did a little of everything with 21 points, six yanks and five helpers with Joel Bolomboy right in his shadows with 20 points and ten boards while Kyle Tresnak and Jeremy Senglin posted 16 and 13 points.
Weber State has been an elite member of the Big Sky and appear to be once again. This is a big game for them and could put them in complete control of the conference. The Wildcats are the hotter team here and are home so...
