The Oregon State Beavers have won four of their last six games and are 5-5 in the Pac-12. OSU is 3-7 away from home this season and they are tied for seventh place in the Pac-12 standings. Roberto Nelson leads the Beavers averaging 21.9 points per game. Oregon State is averaging 77.3 points and they are shooting 48.7 percent while defensively they are allowing 74.3 points while their opponents are shooting 43.5 percent. Oregon State is playing their second of three consecutive road games.
Arizona is 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games, 10-1 against the spread in their last 11 home games against a team with a losing road record, and 0-5 against the spread against the Pac-12. Oregon State is 13-5-2 against the spread following a loss, 2-6 against the spread following a game that they covered the spread, and 4-1 against the spread against a team with a winning percentage higher than .600. The home team has covered the point spread in eight of the last 11 meetings of these two.
This is simply a case of too many points and while I like Arizona to win this game I like Oregon State to cover the spread.
