The Line: Tulane Green Wave -1 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The struggling Marshall Thundering Herd will play their second game of a three-game road trip against the Tulane Green Wave. Marshall has lost three of its last four games and Tulane has lost two of its last three.
The struggles for Marshall continue to be on the defense end, as teams shoot 45.9 percent from the field on the season. However, in its last five games, that percentage has shot up to 48.7 percent. In its loss to Southern Miss the Golden Eagles shot 52.8 percent from the field and Florida Atlantic even shot 53.2 percent. Marshall is still shooting a cool 44.7 percent offensively, but it’s only averaging 68.8 points in its last five games. If the defense isn’t going to improve throughout the season, the Thundering Herd need to rediscover their rhythm offensively to get back in the winning column.

The Green Wave should be happy Marshall can’t put the ball in the hoop because it’s been the problem for them all season. They’re shooting just 41.5 percent from the field and average just 65.4 points per game. They haven’t scored more than 64 points in their last six games. However, defensively they hold teams to 44.5 percent shooting and 71 points.
Against the spread Tulane is 9-8 overall and 5-3 at home, while Marshall is 7-11 overall and 4-6 on the road. The Green Wave are 4-1 ATS in their last five games and have won their last two meetings against Marshall SU.
Neither team is playing great, but Tulane is 9-3 SU on its home floor, while Marshall is 1-10 SU on the road.
Uh, no thanks.
I’ll take the home team in a pick em game.
