The Towson Tigers and the North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks face off on Monday in CAA college basketball.
The Towson Tigers are in second place in CAA and they have won their last four games. Towson is 7-2 in conference play and they are 13-1 at home this season. Jerrelle Benimon is averaging 18.5 points and 11.2 rebounds to lead the Tigers. Marcus Damas is averaging 12.2 points and 5.1 rebounds, Rafriel Guthrie is averaging 11.6 points, and Mike Burwell is averaging 9.3 points. Towson is averaging 72.8 points and they are shooting 45.3 percent while defensively they are allowing 67.9 points and their opponents are shooting 39.4 percent. Towson gets another shot at conference leading Delaware and next time it will be at home.

The North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks are struggling this season and they are in last place in CAA. UNCW is 0-10 in CAA and 3-12 on the road this season. Cedrick Williams is averaging 13.4 points and 7.0 rebounds to lead the Seahawks. Addision Sprull is averaging 10.2 points, Chris Dixon is averaging 7.6 points, and Freddie Jackson is averaging 7.0 points, UNC-Wilmington is averaging 63.3 points and they are shooting 41 percent while defensively they are allowing 70.5 points and their opponents are shooting 43.7 percent. UNC-Wilmington has kept the bulk of their games close but they just can’t seem to get over the hump and get a conference win.
UNC-Wilmington is 5-15-2 against the spread in their last 22 games, 0-6-1 against the spread in their last seven home games, and 4-12-1 against the spread in their last 17 games following a loss. Towson is 13-6 in their last 19 road games, 4-0 against the spread in their last four road games against a team with a losing home record, and 9-4 against the spread against a team with a winning percentage less than .400. The underdog has covered the point spread in none fo the last 10 meetings of these two.
I don’t see Towson having much of a problem here and I like them to cover easily.
