The Clemson Tigers travel to Notre Dame to play the Fighting Irish on Tuesday night.
The Clemson Tigers dropped to 15-7, 6-4 ACC after losing at Syracuse 57-44 on Sunday night. On the season, K.J. McDaniels is averaging a team-high 16.3 points and 7 rebounds per game. Rod Hall is averaging a second-best 9 points per game, while also averaging a team-high 3.8 assists per contest. The Tigers are not a great offensive team, averaging only 63 points per game while shooting only 41.8% from the field as a team this season. However, Clemson is one of the best defensive teams in the ACC and the country this season. The Tigers have held six of their ACC opponents to 60 or less points this season. Clemson is a great rebounding team, averaging 37.6 rebounds per game this season. Clemson has dropped three of their last five games in conference play. The Tigers will play another game on the road on Tuesday; Clemson is 3-5 on the road this season.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish dropped to 12-12, 3-8 ACC after losing at home to North Carolina 73-62 on Saturday. On the year, Garrick Sherman leads the Fighting Irish with a team-high 14.5 points and 8 rebounds per game. Eric Atkins is averaging 14 points per game and a team-high 4.8 assists per contest. Pat Connaughton is averaging 13.3 points per game and 7.4 boards. The Irish are averaging a solid 74.4 points per game while shooting 45.9% from the field. Notre Dame is not a great rebounding team as they lack some size in the front court. The Irish are one of the better teams when it comes to distributing the basketball, averaging 15.7 assists per game. The Irish have lost five out of their last six games and have been struggling since the beginning of 2014. Notre Dame will stay home for this game; the Irish have lost two out of their last three games at home.
Neither one of these teams are playing great basketball right now. Clemson has the better defense, but they struggled to score consistently on the offensive end of the floor. Notre Dame has been at its worst the past few weeks and I think they will drop another one on Tuesday. The wrong team is favored and I think Clemson will cover the spread and win the game straight up.
