The Line: Nevada Wolf Pack -4.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Fresno State Bulldogs will travel to the Lawlor Event Center to play the Nevada Wolf Pack. These teams met a couple of weeks ago and Nevada won the game 96-86 in double overtime.
The Bulldogs have recently snapped out of their funk and have won three games in a row. In just their last five games, they’re averaging 75.2 points and holding opponents to just 68 points. The defense has made a huge difference, as they usually allow teams to shoot 44.4 percent from the field, but that percentage has dropped to 41.9 in their last five. Fresno State is 11-10-1 ATS on the season and 6-4-1 ATS on the road.

The Wolf Pack have lost three of their last five games, including two straight. During that stretch the offense hasn’t been clicking the way it has all season. Instead of shooting 44.1 percent and averaging 73.3 points, the Wolf Pack are shooting 42.6 percent and averaging 68 points in their last five games. They only scored 58 points in their most recent game against San Diego State and were 7-20 from downtown. The Wolf Pack are 13-10 ATS on the year and 5-6 ATS at home.
Given the Wolf Pack’s struggles offensively as of late, it’s tough to imagine they’ll be able to turn it around against a new and improved Fresno State defense. The Bulldogs have drastically improved their level of play. Granted, it was against poor competition, but still.
Fresno State has covered in four straight games and is 5-1-1 in its last seven road games. The road team has also covered four straight meetings between these two programs.
Nevada may be the better team on paper, but I’ll take the points and the team that’s been playing better over the last week.
