Texas-San Antonio hopes a home game against Florida International will help snap a three-game losing streak. The Panthers have lost three of their last four games, while the Roadrunners have lost six of their last seven.
The Panthers continue to struggle offensively, scoring under 70 points in seven of their last eight games. They shoot a solid 44.9 percent from the field, but that’s obviously not adding up to many points. Defensively they allow 71.7 points per game on 43.8 percent shooting. They also rebound the ball extremely well at 37.7 boards per contest. The Panthers are 8-8 against the spread on the season and 3-6 ATS on the road.

The Roadrunners have been absolutely awful over the last month and are just 3-6 SU in conference play. During their losing streak they are shooting 43.1 percent from the field and averaging 71 points, while the defense is allowing 78.8 points on 50.2 percent shooting. At home they allow 81.8 points per game. This team is 5-9 ATS on the season and 3-3 ATS at home.
While neither team has played great basketball throughout the year and they are both lousy against the number, Florida International is clearly the better team out of the two. It plays much better defense and has a huge rebounding advantage. The Roadrunners average only 33.7 boards per game, while the Panthers are the 58th best rebounding team in the country.
FIU is 5-2 ATS in its last seven games following an ATS victory and is 8-3 ATS in its last 11 games following a SU loss.
Usually you would just leave this game alone but due to it being a pick'em, I have to back the Panthers on the road consdiering they are the better team.
