The Troy Trojans pay a visit to E.A. Diddle Arena to take the floor with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.
With the end of the regular season in the not too distant future Troy is in spoiler mode with the hope of improving their spot in the conference playoffs. The Trojans took a step in the right direction with a 79-74 decision over South Alabama that ended a five game slide. The shooting was even enough with the Jaguars holding a 48%-46% edge but with most of the boxscore fairly even the decisive edge came at the line where the trojans sank 12 more free throws. Hunter Williams poured in a game high 26 with Kevin Thomas adding 15 points and seven boards while Jeff Mullahey netted 13.

Western Kentucky looks as if they are better then in previous seasons although winning the Sun Belt isn't going to happen with Georgia State refusing to lose. The Hilltoppers were giving the Panthers little breathing room with five straight victories before dropping a 72-58 decision at Arkansas State. The offense was flat from the opening tip with only 20 first hal points which set the tone for the rest of the game. Chris Harrison-Docks led a trio of double digit scorers with 14 points with Trency Jackson and Aaron Adeoye combining for 21 points with Adeoye grabbing seven boards while O'Karo Akamune chipped in with another nine points.
Western Kentucky is known for their strong play at home but strangely Troy has performed better on the road then at home lately. The Trojans seem to be a very scary bet but I will take them with the points and plenty of praying...
