The Line: Columbia Lions +6 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Columbia Lions will look to turn things around when they host the Harvard Crimson on Friday. The Lions have lost three of their last four games and the Crimson have won four of their last five.
Harvard has been really playing better basketball over the last week, but it is coming off of a 74-67 loss to Yale. In that game the Crimson shot only 39 percent from the field, while the Bulldogs knocked down 51.2 percent of their shots. This is the second poor performance from the Crimson in just a couple of weeks, as they also lost to FAU. Still, Harvard is averaging 72.2 points on 47.2 percent shooting and holding teams to just 59 points on 41.2 percent shooting in their last five games. They are 10-6 ATS overall and 7-3 ATS on the road.

Columbia will play its first home game in a while after coming off of a five-game road trip. During that stretch the Lions shot just 41.9 percent from the field and averaged 60.4 points, while the defense allowed 62.2 points on 43.2 percent shooting. At home they have been a much better team, shooting 48.7 percent from the field and holding opponents to just 39.4 percent shooting. They are 7-6 ATS and 1-1 ATS at home.
This spread is fairly interesting because you aren’t sure which Harvard team is going to show up. Will it be the team from the first half of the season or the one that seems to take games off? Columbia will be excited to return home and should feel good about its chances considering it is 9-1 SU on its home floor.
The Lions are also 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against teams with a winning percentage above 60 percent, and Harvard is 0-4 ATS in its last four meetings against Columbia.
I’m taking the home team and the points in this one.
