Meanwhile, Baylor improved to 3-8 for 9th place in the Big 12 after its 91-58 dismantling of TCU Wednesday. The Bears shot 53.4 percent from the floor and 59.3 percent from outside the arc to the Horned Frogs’ 40.0 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from distance. Baylor also dominated the boards 45-18 and converted 13 of 20 from the free throw line. Senior G Brady Heslip scored a team-high 24 points on 8 of 12 from three-point range, sophomore C Isaiah Austin had 14 points, 5 assists and 4 blocks, and sophomore F Rico Gathers added 14 points off the bench. Through 24 games, the Bears are averaging 75.2 ppg on 46.3 percent shooting. Senior F Corey Jefferson leads the team with 12.3 ppg, followed by Heslip at 11.9 ppg.

Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -4 for Baylor. These two haven’t hooked up yet this season, but K-State just took out the Big 12’s best two teams in Kansas and Texas, while Baylor’s is likely still on the shaky side, despite destroying TCU by 33 points. Look for a closer game than the line, at the very least.
