The Ohio Bobcats look to get back in the MAC race when they visit the Buffalo Bulls Saturday.
Ohio had a golden opportunity to sweep first place Toledo and move a step closer to the top spot themselves but that was not to be as the Rockets prevailed 82-76 on Wednesday. This was a great game to watch from an offensive point of view with Toledo leading the shooting battle 48%-45.8%. The Bobcats sank eleven from distance but an 18-11 deficit at the line eventually did them in. Nick Kellogg paced the attack with with 21 points and five helpers followed by a 17 point, eight board effort from Travis Wilkens while Jon Smith added ten points and eleven rebounds.

Buffalo continued to show they were for real after going on the road to knock off Miami (Ohio) 75-62 on Wednesday to win number three in a row and remain in a three way tie for second at 8-3 in the MAC. The Bulls put their ability to score and defend on display as they took a nine point lead at the half behind 49% marksmanship. That added up to four more field goals over the 42% shooting Redhawks that combined with a 37-22 edge on the backboards to give the Bulls sizeable advantages throughout the boxscore. Javon McCrea was the offensive star with 25 points and eleven rebounds with Josh Freelove tossing in 16 and Will Regan eight.
All I can say is Buffalo is never favored in this match up which tells us this team has taken a few steps forward. I like this Bulls team but I won't lay the points here although they win in my view...
