The Line: George Mason Patriots -1 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The George Mason Patriots will put their two-game winning streak on the line when they host the St. Bonaventure Bonnies.
The Bonnies are coming off a road victory over the Fordham Rams, but have lost three of their last five games despite shooting 45 percent from the field and averaging more than 73 points. All three of those losses were decided by one possession. On the road, the Bonnies average 72.8 points and allow 73.9 points. They have lost four of their last five road games SU. Against the spread, they are 13-9 and 6-7 on the road.

The Patriots went from losing nine straight two winning back-to-back road games. In their last five contests, they’re shooting 46.6 percent from beyond the arc and averaging 76.4 points. Defensively, they’re allowing 78.8 points on 46.6 percent shooting. The Patriots can only hope their road success can carry over, as they are only 5-5 SU at home and average barely 70.7 points. They are 9-12 ATS and a brutal 2-6 at home.
This is an interesting line because it’s hard to tell if George Mason is turning the corner or not. Sure, it’s just two road wins, but the Patriots could compete with anybody the way they’re shooting the basketball right now.
The Bonnies have not been great on the road (3-7 SU) and allow teams to shoot 45.8 percent from the field. I’ve been called crazy before, but I’ll take George Mason in a toss-up game.
The Patriots have lost many close games this season and if they have finally figured out how to finish them, they could be a team to watch the final couple of weeks.
