The Line: Saint Louis Billikens -4 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Saint Louis Billikens look for their 17th straight win on Saturday when they host the VCU Rams.
The Rams surprised me with a 92-75 blowout victory over George Washington. They knocked down 13 threes and forced 22 turnovers. Winning seven of their last eight games, this is now an offensive team that is averaging 76.5 points per game. Of course, the defense is holding teams to 66 points on 43.7 percent shooting, but the improved offense is what makes this team scary. On the road they average 73.3 points. The Rams are 11-12 ATS overall and 6-6 ATS on the road.

The Billkens survived a close one against La Salle, winning in the final seconds thanks to a Jordair Jett last-second layup. They remain undefeated in conference play and have one of the better defenses in the country that holds teams under 60 points and 40 percent shooting. Their offense has also improved in their last five games, as they’re averaging 74 points on 47.4 percent shooting. The Billikens 12-1 SU at home, 9-12 ATS and 5-5 ATS at home.
This is going to be one of my favorite games on the Saturday schedule. It could really go either way, as I see both of these teams capable of making a deep run in the tournament. The problem is VCU has been shaky on the road, losing three of its last five road games, while Saint Louis has been dominant at home.
The Billikens are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss and the favorite is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams.
I’ll eat the small chalk with the team that’s pretty automatic on its home court.
