Meanwhile, BYU fell to 9-5 and 3rd place in the conference after suffering an 89-82 loss at Pacific Thursday. The Cougars were outshot from the floor 51.8 percent to 44.1 percent and from outside the arc 47.6 percent to 41.2 percent. BYU also conceded a 41-32 advantage on the boards. Junior G Matt Carlino scored a game-high 28 points off the bench, junior G Tyler Haws had 20 points, including 8 of 8 from the foul line, and junior G Skyler Halford added 14 points. Through 27 games, the Cougars are averaging 86.5 ppg on 46.8 percent shooting. Haws leads the team with 24.3 ppg, followed by sophomore G Kyle Collinsworth at 14.1 ppg.

Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -3.5 for St. Mary’s. BYU topped the Gaels by 13 a couple weeks ago and this is essentially for second place in the conference so there’s a lot on the line here. Look for BYU to bounce back.
