The Syracuse Orange improved to a perfect 24-0, 11-0 ACC after a thrilling win over Pittsburgh on the road 58-56 on Wednesday night. Tyler Ennis hit a three-pointer from deep at the buzzer to help the Orange stay perfect on the season. Syracuse is led by C.J. Fair, who is averaging a team-high 16.7 points per game. Trevor Cooney is averaging 13.9 points per game, while Ennis is averaging a team-high 5.6 assists per game. Jerami Grant is averaging 12.5 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game. Syracuse is averaging 70.6 points per game while shooting 45.8% from the field as a team this season. The Orange were dominated on the glass by Pittsburgh and they haven’t been the best rebounding team all year long, which may be their biggest weakness. However, the Orange have a way of finding different ways to win games and they will try to do it again on Saturday.
Syracuse is coming off an emotional win on the road against Pittsburgh and this may be a prime spot for a letdown. However, the Orange didn’t play well against the Panthers so I think Coach Boeheim will have his team ready to play on Saturday. North Carolina State is a good team but they have been terrible on the road in conference play. Syracuse gets the win, but the Wolfpack cover the spread.
