The Boston College Eagles dropped to 6-18, 2-9 ACC after losing at Georgia Tech 74-71 on Thursday. On the season, Olivier Hanlan is averaging a team-high 18 points, while Ryan Anderson is averaging 15 points and team-high 7.1 rebounds per game. Hanlan is also averaging 3.7 rebounds and 3 assists per game, while, Joe Rahon is averaging 9.6 points and a team-high 3.3 assist per game. The Eagles are averaging only 69.8 points per game while shooting 44.8% from the field as a team this year. Boston College is one of the worst rebounding teams in the country, averaging only 30.1 boards per contest. The Eagles will have a short rest after their game was pushed back from Wednesday to Thursday due to inclement weather. Boston College has lost four straight games and seven of their last eight overall. This may be the Eagles best chance to grab a win for the rest of the season.
This should be a competitive game, with two mediocre teams fighting for a win, something neither team has done much of recently. Notre Dame has been awful on the road, while Boston College doesn’t play great defense and relies on the three-ball way too much. I think the Eagles will knock down some shots from the outside and grab the win at home on Sunday.
