The Weber State Wildcats clash with Big Sky rival the Idaho State Vandals at Reed Gym on Monday.
Weber State has emerged as the team to beat in the Big Sky but there is plenty of season left so anything can happen. Currently the Wildcats own an 11-2 mark in the conference for a three game lead with roughly eight games to play. The balance of the Wildcats was in full force in a 75-55 rout of Southern Utah with over 60% marksmanship including a 10-17 mark on threes far outdistancing the Thunderbirds 38% accuracy. Davion Berry led the Weber State scoring with 23 points with Kyle Tresnak tossing in 12 points. Joel Bolomboy and Richard Gittens combined for 16 points with Bolomboy posting nine rebounds.

On first glance one would not consider Idaho State to be much of a factor in the Big Sky with only a 6-7 conference mark but in fact the Bengals are only a single game out of third. Consistency on both ends of the floor has been an issue although everything fell in to place in Saturday's 75-65 decision over visiting Southern Utah. Both teams hit shots at around 42% with the decisive difference being 30 Thunderbirds turnovers resulting in a 27-14 advantage. Chris Hansen pumped in a game high 22 points and snagged seven boards with Andre' Hatchett and Tomas Sanchez dropping 16 and 14 points.
Weber State is favored for for good reason as they will win the Big Sky. The issue is cotrolling the Bengals offense to pull out a road win which is never an easy thing...
