Indiana Hoosiers vs. Iowa Hawkeyes Pick, Odds, Prediction 2/18/14

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Iowa Hawkeyes have won their last two games and three of their last four and are in third place in the Big Ten standings. Iowa is 8-4 in the Big Ten, 6-4 away from home, and they are ranked 16th in the nation. Roy Devyn Marble is averaging 16.4 points to lead the Hawkeyes. Aaron White is averaging 13.2 points and 6.6 rebounds, Jarrod Uthoff is averaging 8.3 points and 5.0 rebounds, and Melsahn Basabe is averaging 8.1 points. Iowa is averaging 83.8 points and they are shooting 47 percent while defensively they are allowing 67.2 points and their opponents are shooting 38.8 percent. Iowa is just 2-6 against ranked teams thus far this year.

Indiana is 4-1 against the spread against a team with a winning percentage higher than .600, 1-4 against the spread against the Big Ten, and 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four Tuesday games. Iowa is 7-1 against the spread in their last eight road games, 21-8 against the spread against the Big Ten, and 24-11 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread. Iowa has covered the point spread in 16 of the last 21 meetings of these two.

My free pick is going to be on the total and even up at 144 I like the over. My stronger play is on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
