The Morehead State Eagles will look to win their fifth straight game when they host the struggling Austin Peay Governors.
The Governors have split their last six games and have lost seven of their last 10. They shoot 48.6 percent from the field and average 75.2 points per game, but they allow 78.7 points on 46.4 percent shooting. On the road it’s even worse, as they give up 80.3 points on 47.2 percent shooting. They’ve allowed at least 83 points in four of their last five games. They are 9-11 ATS overall and 5-7 ATS on the road.

The Eagles have been playing some of their best basketball of late. During their winning streak, they’re shooting 50.4 percent from the field and averaging 74.4 points, while the defense allows 65.8 points on 41.7 percent shooting. At home they average 80.2 points and allow 73.4 points. They are 11-12 ATS overall and 5-4 ATS on their home court.
Not only is there a big gap in defense, but the Eagles also have a huge advantage in rebounding. The Governors average only 33.4 boards per game, while the Eagles are one of the better rebounding teams in the country at 39.2 boards. Second chance opportunities will help the Eagles pull away and cover the number.
The Eagles are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games following three or more consecutive road games. The home team is also 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these two teams. Meanwhile, the Governors are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 conference matchups.
Morehead State shouldn’t have any trouble covering the chalk on their home court.
