The Line: Tulane Green Wave +6 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The UTEP Miners hope to keep the pressure on the rest of the C-USA when they play the Tulane Green Wave Thursday at the Devlin FIeldhouse.
The Miners have won nine of their last 10 games and are playing extremely well on both sides of the ball. Just in their last five games, they’re averaging 68.4 points on 49.4 percent shooting and holding opponents to 59 points on 38.5 percent shooting. They’ve also been knocking down the three-ball at 41.4 percent, which is a little more than six percent above their season average. On the road, they average 64 points and allow 58 points. They are 15-5 ATS overall and 8-1 ATS on the road.

The Green Wave are coming off an impressive 86-80 win over the UAB Blazers, and have now won three of their last five games. During that stretch, their shooting percentage has bumped up to 43.4 percent from the field and 41.3 percent from downtown. Defensively they still have a little work to do, as they’re allowing 71.4 points in their last five. At home, they average 66.9 points and allow 65.6 points. They are 11-9 ATS and 6-3 ATS on their home court.
Tulane is due for a letdown spot here after winning three of its last four games. This team isn’t that good and should be slapped back into reality when facing one of the better teams in the conference.
The Miners are playing great ball at both ends of the floor and are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 road games. They’ve also covered five of the eight games this season where they were a favorite by more than five points. The road team is also 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings between these two teams.
I’ll gladly take the Miners considering the chalk isn’t too big.
