The Beeghly Center and the Youngstown State Penguins host the Milwaukee Panthers in Horizon action.
Milwaukee needs a strong finish and some good fortune to crack the top four in the Horizon and seemed well on their way to reaching that goal with three consecutive victories before a 77-62 loss to visiting Valparaiso ended the good times. The defense is always a worry and with good reason here with the Crusaders sinking shots at over 51% while the Panthers were held to 31.7% including a brutal 3-29 from beyond the arc which squandered eleven more opportunities. Kyle Kelm was Milwaukee's top gun with a contest best 24 points followed by a 14 point, eight rebound effort by Matt Tiby while Austin Arias added eight points.

I think Youngstown State needs to sweep the remaining games on their schedule and receive plenty of help to reach a top four spot in the conference but we are talking long shot here. The Penguins were riding a four game slide before upending Illinois-Chicago 59-56 on Saturday after coming back from an eight point deficit at the break. This still wasn't a great performance for one of the top scoring offenses in the conference with only 36% shooting with a 3-14 mark on threes. Fortunately the Flames only connected at 39% from the floor with the Penguins winning on the strength of a 20-3 edge at the stripe. Kendrick Perry carried YSU with 31 points and eight boards with Bobby Hain tossing in 14 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.
These teams seem to be more similar then different which automatically has me looking at the points but I need Jordan Aaron on the floor and hopefully the Panthers don't wet the bed which they have been known to do...
