The Dunn Center will be over flowing when the Eastern Kentucky Colonels visit the Austin Peay Governors.
Eastern Kentucky has set their sights on a fourth place finish in the Ohio Valley with a possibility of third. The Colonels seemed to be coasting in to the finish line but dropped consecutive contests which made their 86-65 victory at Jacksonville State absolutely crucial. EKU turned in one of their more balanced efforts of the season with a season high 64.6% shooting performance that included an 11-21 mark on threes while limiting the Gamecocks to 42%. Offense was plentiful with Tarius Johnson leading the way with 19 points with Glenn Cosey netting 15 points and handing out five helpers. Orlando Williams followed with 14 while Corey Walden added 12 points and five pulls.

If Austin Peay could somehow sweep their remaining three games to end the conference schedule 8-8 it's very possible this team move up several spots and avoid facing of the top teams in the early round of the playoffs. That would mean their very capable offense has to pick it up and the defensive end of the floor must get stops which didn't happen often in a 90-88 overtime defeat at the hands of Morehead State. The Governors connected at a hefty 51.8% from the floor with the Eagles 44% being good enough with because of ten bombs. Travis Betran gave Austin Peay 24 points with Ed Dyson and Fred garmon adding 13 points and seven rebounds each followed by Chris Horton and his ten points.
The home team has done well in this match up but Austin Peay plays zero defense so I would be inclined to take the over but for now I'll side with the points...
