The Charlotte 49ers hope a home game against the UAB Blazers will be enough to snap a four-game losing streak.
The Blazers are in the middle of a three-game road trip and have lost two of their last six games. During this stretch, they’re averaging 75.2 points on 40.6 percent shooting and allowing 73.6 points on 45.4 percent shooting. The defense has been their downfall in their losses, as it’s impossible to win when allowing 75-80 points every night. On the road, they average 71 points and give up 75.6 points. They are 10-12 ATS overall and 6-5 ATS on the road.

The 49ers are playing their worst basketball of the season and setting themselves up for a poor seed in the C-USA Tournament. During their losing streak, they’re averaging 61 points on 41.5 percent shooting and allowing 57.2 points on 43.6 percent shooting. They’ve scored below 65 points in four straight games, which is a massive drop-off from a team averaging 71.7 points on the season. At home, they average 72.9 points and allow 69 points. They are 10-11 ATS overall and 4-5 ATS on their home court.
The Blazers usually have the rebounding advantage over most teams, which is why they’ve made us money in certain spots. The problem is the 49ers cancel that out considering they average 38.3 boards per game. The Blazers average 45.5 boards. With their biggest advantage pretty much a wash, you have to like Charlotte at home.
The 49ers are desperate for a victory and have covered five of the last seven meetings against UAB.
This matchup being a pick'em makes this a bet worth taking.
