The Louisville Cardinals head to Fifth Third Arena to face Cincinnati with first in the AAC at stake.
Louisville can do no worse then tie for first in the AAC if they can sweep their remaining schedule but it almost sounds ridiculous to suggest a 5-0 finish in such a brutally tough conference. It's not out of the question with the way this team can defend and score which they did almost effortlessly in an 80-54 rout. The Cardinals took an 18 point lead in to the break and never let up behind 49% from the floor. The Bulls also sank shots at 29% but turned the ball over 20 times which had a hand in 26 more Cardinals looks. Russ Smith led the scoring parade with 19 points followed by a 16 point effort from Luke Hancock while Montrezl Harrell and Terry Rozier adding 14 and 13 points.

Cincinnati controls their own fate with first place in the AAC all to their lonesome but controlling their own fate is a tall order in this top heavy conference. The Bearcats stayed atop the AAC with a convincing 77-49 rout of Central Florida on the road Wednesday. Cincy led by 22 at the break and were never challenged behind 48% marksmanship while holding the Knights to a mere 29% while forcing 15 turnovers. Leading scorer Sean Kilpatrick tossed in a game high 23 points on 6-12 from long range while Justin Jackson and Jermaine Sanders combined for 19 points and 12 rebounds. Points were plentiful from a number of sources which hasn't always been the case for the defense first Bearcats.
Revenge for Louisville? I don't know about that but they won't win if they come out flat the way we saw in the first meeting. This might be better to sit back and watch then bet but for a pick I see the road team has done well so...
