The CSU Convocation Center and the Cleveland State Vikings host the Milwaukee Panthers Saturday.
Milwaukee seemed like a top four finish in the Horizon was right in their grasp but after an 88-83 overtime loss at Youngstown State the Panthers dropped to the middle of the pack with just a handful of games remaining. The offense performed well with nearly 47% from the floor including an 11-26 mark on threes but eventually the Penguins attack prevailed with their 53% accuracy. Austin Arians carried the scoring load with a team high 28 points on 5-8 from the perimeter in 44 minutes followed by a 15 point effort from Jevon Lyle with the duo of Kyle Kelm and JJ Panoske adding 13 and eleven points with Kelm grabbing eight rebounds and handing out five helpers.

Cleveland State seemed to have everything going for them in their first place battle with Green Bay last Saturday. A seven game winning streak and the Phoenix at home looked like a winning formula but the visitors flexed some muscle in walking away with a 68-54 victory that was all but over in the first 20 minutes with GB ahead 32-19. The Phoenix racked up their offense on the strength of 48% shooting while the Vikings were an ice cold 31% which negated a whopping 25 more looks at the basket. Trey Lewis was the lone double digit scorer with 20 points and five yanks while the tandem of Jon Harris and Sebastian Douglas combined for 17 points with Douglas snagging five boards. Not one player who attempted more then one shot even sniffed 50% shooting.
I think Cleveland State has blowout potential here but try as I might I have difficulty laying all the points especially with a Milwaukee club I don't really trust. I'll just side with the points and hope the Panthers at least show up if Jordan Aaron plays but probably go the other way if he doesn't...
