The Georgia State Panthers look to lock up the Sun Belt when the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns visit.
It looks as if the best Louisiana-Lafayette can do is finish somewhere in the top four of the Sun Belt excluding first which belongs to Georgia State unless they collapse. The Ragin' Cajuns are playing great basketball with high powered offense and their defense contributing to the success. ULL played about as well as possible last time out in a 78-63 over visiting Troy with 54% shooting putting up plenty of points while the Trojans were limited to only 39%. Bryant Mbamalu dropped a game high 21 points and snagged five pulls with Shawn Long and Elfrid Payton adding 15 points each and combining for 14 rebounds.

Whether Georgia State wins the conference playoffs or not it's clear they have been the best team during the regular season. The Panthers can do plenty of damage on the scoreboard and can play outstanding defense when they apply themselves. Both ends of the floor were dominant in a 75-60 rout of Louisiana-Monroe on Thursday. GSU led from the get go with 47% from the floor providing plenty of offensive punch while the Warhawks were stymied on 37.7%. Manny Atkins and Devonta White were to much for UL Monroe to handle with a combined 41 points with Atkins hauling in nine boards while RJ Hunter and Markus Crider netted 12 and ten points with 12 pulls.
Louisiana-Lafayette is streaking but can they keep it going on the road against a very good team? I doubt it but the Ragin' Cajuns could get the cover but little more...
