The Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Arkansas Razorbacks face off on Saturday in SEC college basketball action.

The Arkansas Razorbacks have won their last two games and four of their last five. Arkansas is 6-7 in the SEC, 3-7 away from home, and they are in eighth place in the SEC standings. Bobby Portis is averaging 13.1 points and 6.6 rebounds to lead the Razorbacks. Rashad Madden is averaging 12.8 points, Michael Qualls is averaging 11.8 points, and Coty Clarke is averaging 9.2 points and 5.9 rebounds. Arkansas is averaging 80.8 points and they are shooting 44.7 percent while defensively they are allowing 70.5 points and their opponents are shooting 40.5 percent. Arkansas is hoping that a late season run can at least get them into the NCAA Tournament discussion.
Mississippi State is 6-1 against the spread in their last seven home games, 8-2-1 against the spread following a loss, and 2-5-1 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread. Arkansas is 10-4 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread, 23-54 against the spread in their last 77 road games, and 23-52 against the spread in their last 75 road games against a team with a winning home record. The home team has covered the point spread in five of the last six meetings of these two.
This is a big number for the Razorbacks on the road but I like them in this spot.
