The Toledo Rockets play host to the Ball State Cardinals at Savage Hall in Sunday MAC action.
Ball State saw a golden opportunity to escape the MAC cellar go by the win a double overtime 101-95 defeat at Central Michigan. The Cardinals have generally struggled at both ends of the floor although this one couldn't be blamed on a lack of scoring with 44% accuracy and 28 makes at the foul line putting up plenty of points although the Chippewas 46% shooting and 12 bombs was decisive. Chris Bond gave the attack 21 points and 12 rebounds with Zavier Turner and Jesse Berry adding 20 and 19 points followed Franko House with 12 points and eight pulls.

Toledo and their high powered offense have forged a first place tie in the MAC with Western Michigan at 10-3. The Rockets knocked off Bowling Green 60-58 as they nearly squandered a 16 point first half lead with a frantic Falcons rally falling short in the final seconds. The visitors connected at 41% and commited 17 turnovers to give the 35% shooting Falcons eleven more looks at the basket that were put to good use. Julius Brown led all scorers with 21 points on 7-9 from the field with Rian Pearson chipping in with ten points. The Rockets went with a nine man rotation with each scoring but most struggled in the second half.
Toledo could win this by 25 and I wouldn't be surprised because the difference is night and day here. I will take the points but need a healthy Majok Majok or the Cardinals will get killed. Too many ifs for me to bet this...
