The Line: Western Michigan Broncos -3 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Western Michigan Broncos will look for their sixth straight victory and revenge when they host the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Eastern Michigan won their previous meeting back in January, 56-37.
The Eagles are coming off of a 61-59 double-overtime loss to Northern Illinois. They have now split their last six games and are stuck dead in the middle of the Western Division in the MAC. They shoot 40.9 percent from the field and average 66.2 points per game, while the defense allows 63.6 points on 37.3 percent shooting. On the road they average 62.5 points and allow 67.2 points. They are 13-9 ATS overall and 7-5 ATS on the road.

The Broncos are playing their best basketball as of late and could win the Western Division if they keep it up. During their winning streak, they’re averaging 72.4 points on 49.8 percent shooting and allowing 63.8 points on 43.4 percent shooting. They’re getting scoring contributions out of everybody and are averaging about seven more rebounds than their opponents during the winning streak. At home, they average 77 points and allow 68.2 points. They are 11-10-1 ATS overall and 5-5 ATS at home.
With the way both teams are playing and the road struggles for Eastern Michigan, you have no choice but to go with Western Michigan. Not only is this a revenge game for the Broncos, but they’re 11-2 SU on their home floor, while the Eagles are 4-8 SU on the road.
Against the spread, the Broncos are 4-0-1 in their last five games, while the home team has covered seven of the last 10 meetings between these two teams.
There isn’t enough chalk to sway me away from the home team that’s playing much better basketball.
