The Line: Saint Peter's Peacocks -4 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Fairfield Stags will end their three-game road trip with a visit to play the St. Peter’s Peacocks. These teams played back in early January, and St. Peter’s won 56-55 thanks to a buzzer beater.
That’s been the story of the Stags season, as they’ve lost eight of their last 10 games and are just 3-15 in conference play. In just their last five games, they’re averaging 71.8 points on 42.1 percent shooting and allowing 76.8 points on 47 percent shooting. Defense has been the issue as of late, as they’ve allowed at least 77 points in three of their last five games. On the road, they average 65.9 points and allow 73.6 points. They are 12-12 ATS overall and 9-5 ATS on the road.

The Peacocks have been playing some of their best basketball as of late, winning four of their last six games. During this stretch, they’re averaging 60.6 points on 42.8 percent shooting and allowing 58.8 points on 39.1 percent shooting. They are now 7-0 SU when holding teams under 60 points. At home, they average 63.3 points and give up 62.7 points. They are 8-12 ATS overall and 3-6 ATS on their home court.
Although St. Peter’s is playing its best basketball of the season, Fairfield has had great success over the years against the Peacocks. The Stags have won five of the last six meetings, and that won loss came on a last-second game-winning shot.
Fairfield will not only head into this game with revenge on its mind, but it’s also 6-1 ATS in its last seven road games. Even though the Peacocks have been winning lately, they’re still 11-16 SU on the season.
I’ll take the points in another MAAC matchup that should come down to the wire.
