The Wright State Raiders can lock up a top four finish with a win over visiting Valparaiso Tuesday.
Valparaiso can guarantee themselves third in the Horizon with a win on Tuesday but they are just a game behind second place Cleveland State so that's a real possibility as well with a little help. The Crusaders have gotten themselves to this point with wins in three of four following a 68-66 decision over Youngstown State on Saturday. Very little separated Valpo from the Penguins with both sinking shots at around the same pace with the home team posting a few more shots which was decisive. Alec Peters led the home team with 22 points and six boards with LaVonte Dority adding 15 points and six helpers while Vashil Fernandez and Bobby Capobianco tossed in 15 points.

Wright State was the preseason favotite to win the Horizon but the best they can do is fourth where they currently reside. A win in their final two games will secure them a spot in the top four but two losses could mean fifth or lower. The Raiders have posted wins in three of four capped off by a 65-61 victory over visiting Detroit in what was just a two point contest in the final seconds. With both squads connecting in the 39% range with the Titans sinking a few more shots and Wright State a few free throws to win it. The Raiders received 19 points and seven boards from AJ Pacher with Matt Vest and Reggie Arceneaux netting 16 and 15 points followed by an eight point ffort from Chrishawn Hopkins.
Wright State crushed Valpo on their home floor in the first meeting and could do it again because I don't think the Crusaders have played their conference schedule as impressively as others but the flip side is nobody gave them a second look in the preseason with the lost talent so they aren't pushovers...
