The Rutgers Scarlet Knights head south to take the hardwood with the Central Florida Knights.

With a handful of games remaining in the regular season Rutgers will be looking to win as many a possible to get momentum on their side in time for the conference playoffs. Big mo has been nowhere to be found lately with the Scarlet Knights having dropped three straight following a 64-59 loss to Memphis which was one of their stronger efforts of the AAC schedule. Even though the Tigers won the shooting battle 48%-37%, they gave the ball away 16 times that led to 18 more RU looks that kept the game competitive. Kadeem Jack shouldered the scoring with 22 points and ten boards with Myles Mack and Malick Kone adding ten points each and eleven pulls.

Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

If Central Florida could get hot to end the season then breaking a last place tie with Temple is a reasonable goal and even moving up another spot or two isn't out of the question. The Knights had the opportunity to do all of these things but didn't in an 88-84 defeat at Houston where the defense struggled to get stops. The Cougars sank shots at nearly 48% with 16 offensive boards leading to 17 more looks at the basket but that was still not enough to contend with Houston's blistering hot 58% marksmanship. Tristan Spurlock tossed in a contest best 21 points followed by a 19 point, 13 board and six assist effort from Isaiah Sykes with Kasey Wlson and Daiquan Walker with ten pointe each with Wilson snagging seven rebounds.

I wouldn't be thrilled putting money on either and I think you know why. I am just going to take the points but Rutgers is hideous away from home...
