The LSU Tigers and the Texas A&M Aggies face off on Wednesday in Baton Rouge in a SEC college basketball battle.
The LSU Tigers have lost three of their last four games and have slipped into the massive tie for fourth place in the SEC. LSU is 7-7 in SEC conference play and they are 12-2 at home this season. Johnny O’Bryant III is averaging 15.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game to lead the Tigers. Jordan Mickey is averaging 13.7 points and 7.5 rebounds, Andre Stringer is averaging 12 points, and Jarrell Martin is averaging 9.9 points. LSU is averaging 77.7 points and they are shooting 45 percent while defensively they are allowing 72.7 points and their opponents are shooting 40.8 percent. LSU is looking to avenge a 10-point loss on February 12th at College Station.

The Texas A&M Aggies have won three of their last four games but all of those wins came at home. Texas A&M is 7-7 in the SEC but 1-9 away from home this season. Jamal Jones is the Aggies leading scorer averaging 12.8 points per game. Kourtney Roberson is averaging 9.6 points and 6.7 rebounds, Alex Caruso is averaging 8.5 points, and Jordan Green is averaging 6.6 points. Texas A&M is averaging 65.3 points and they are shooting 43 percent while defensively they are allowing 62.4 points and their opponents are shooting 40 percent. It is ultimately the Aggies road record which will be their undoing this year.
LSU is 1-5 against the spread against the SEC, 2-5-1 against the spread following a loss, and 1-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Texas A&M is 5-2 against the spread following a win, 105 against the spread in their last six road games, and 6-2 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread. The home team has covered the point spread in five of the last six meetings of these two.
LSU catches the Aggies again when A&M is playing well but the Tigers get revenge and I look for them to get the cover though this is just a lean.
