The Line: William & Mary Tribe -10.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Storyline: Hofstra hopes to bring an end to its four-game skid and end the season on a high note when it takes the road to square off with William & Mary Wednesday.
The Breakdown: The Pride fell to 4-10 for 8th place in the CAA after suffering an 83-77 defeat against Towson Saturday. Hofstra outshot the Tigers from the floor 50.0 percent to 46.9 percent, but was topped from outside the arc 50.0 percent to 35.3 percent, while finishing with a 29-27 advantage on the boards. The Pride also converted 17 of 21 from the free throw line and committed 11 turnovers. Senior F Zeke Upshaw scored a game-high 33 points, including 12 of 12 from the stripe, senior G Dion Nesmith, including 3 of 5 from downtown, and sophomore F Jordan Allen added 12 points and 5 rebounds. On the season, Hofstra is averaging 67.2 ppg on 41.6 percent shooting. Upshaw leads the team with 19.4 ppg, followed by Nesmith at 13.2 ppg.

Meanwhile, William & Mary improved to 9-5 for third place in the conference after an 81-67 season-sweeping victory over Northeastern Saturday. Junior G Marucs Thornton scored a game-high 25 points off the bench, including 5 of 7 from distance, senior F Tim Rusthoven had 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, and senior G Brandon Britt added 11 points. The Tribe connected on 30 of 56 from the floor and 10 of 23 from outside the arc to the Huskies’ 25 of 58 from the field and 7 of 18 from downtown. William and Mary also came away with a 36-33 rebounding edge and converted 11 of 18 from the stripe. Through 27 games, the Tribe is averaging 73.1 ppg on 47.3 percent shooting. Thornton leads the team with 19.0 ppg, followed by Rusthoven at 12.3 ppg.
Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -10.5 for William & Mary. Hofstra took out William & Mary by 17 points a month ago so the spread is on the questionable side. The Tribe is 7-3 since and Hofstra has gone 1-9, but each of the Pride’s last five losses have been by single digits, a couple of which could have easily gone the other way, so look for a closer game than the line.
