The Milwaukee Panthers conclude the regular season on the road at the Detroit Titans on Thursday.
To me Milwaukee has been one of the more frustrating teams in the Horizon with the talent to do more then they have. The Panthers looked to avoid a four game slide with winless Illinois-Chicago taking the floor but surprisinngly they were no match for the Flames who won their first conference game 80-58. The numbers tell the story with UIC hitting at 52% and the Panthers at less then 32% which was a difference of nine field goals. Kyle Kelm led the scoring with 12 points and five yanks while Jordan Aaron and Matt Tiby each dropped ten points with suspended star Aaron going 2-13 in his first game back.

Detroit is looking to win their last two games and bring some momentum in to the conference playoffs and perhaps pick up an upset or two...or more. If so the Titans need a better effort then the one we saw in last Friday's 65-61 defeat at Wright State where 39% marksmanship was only made worse by a hefty 21 turnovers and 3-14 shooting from the perimeter. Fortunately the Raiders didn't fare any better in the shooting department with 39% accuracy themselves along with 15 giveaways of their own. Evan Bruinsma provided the Titans with an offensive spark with 19 points and 12 rebounds while Juwan Howard Jr. added 16 points and another eight boards followed by a nine point, five yank effort from Carlton Brundidge.
Even though Milwaukee has the better record I think Detroit has been playing the better basketball. Enough to cover? Maybe but I don't know if this is a money maker here...
