The Line: Louisiana Tech Bulldogs -8 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

One of the better college basketball games on Thursday night will be when the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders take on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. This is a meeting between two of the better teams in the C-USA and could decide who wins the regular season title.

The Blue Raiders have won nine straight games and continue to get the job done at both ends of the floor. In just their last five games, they’re averaging 69.8 points on 45.8 percent shooting and allowing 55.6 points on 42.1 percent shooting. They’re knocking down 43 percent of their three balls, which is about a nine percent increase from their season average. On the road they average 64.6 points and allow 63.8 points. They are 12-12 ATS overall and 4-9 ATS on the road.

The Bulldogs bounced back from their loss to East Carolina with a win over Old Dominion. They’ve now won five of their last six games. During this stretch, they’re averaging 76 points on 41.1 percent shooting and allowing 54.6 points on 43.8 percent shooting. At home they average 85 points and allow 62.2 points. They are 11-10 ATS overall and 5-3 ATS at home.

This game could go either way, as it’s going to be an emotional matchup with a lot on the line. However, I can’t pick against the Bulldogs on their home court. They’re an offensive machine in front of their home fans, averaging in the mid-80s, while the Blue Raiders have only scored 80 or more points in three of their last 12 games.

The Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games against teams with a winning road record. They’re also 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games overall.

Some teams just take things to a different level at home. The Bulldogs are one of those teams and should do enough to cover the spread.
