The Owls continue to prove they’re the worst team in the C-USA, as they’ve lost four in a row and six of their last seven. Just 2-11 SU in conference play, they’re averaging just 56.6 points on 39.4 percent shooting in their last five games. Defensively, they’ve allowed 68.6 points on 42.8 percent shooting. Besides the lack of offense, they’ve also turned the ball over more than 15 times in those games. They’re a team that’s not very talented and finds ways to beat themselves. At home, they average 66.1 points and give up 71.7 points. They are 9-12 ATS overall and 3-6 ATS at home.
You can make a lot of money betting against Rice in certain spots and this is one of them. Not only is UAB the better and more confident team, but Rice is one of the worst rebounding teams in the country, averaging just 32.5 boards per game. Of course, the Blazers own the glass against everybody.
If you need further confidence, UAB is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings against Rice. The Owls are just 5-12 ATS in their last 17 conference games.
Enough talking, take the Blazers and the chalk.
