When you look for a team playing well in the Big Sky you don't have to look any further then Sacramento State who is red hot with victories in seven of eight to pull within a game of second place Northern Colorado. Both ends of the floor have contributed to the success with perhaps their best performance cominig in a 79-58 rout of visiting Northern Colorado. The Hornets easily won the shooting battle 48%-31% which was decisive and negated nine more attempts from the Bears. Mikh McKinney was the man of the hour with 29 points, eleven boards and six assists with Eric Stuteville adding 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Weber State tightened their grip on the top spot of the Big Sky as they went on the road and delivered an 86-68 beating to Montana State. The Wildcats are probably the most balanced team in the conference but their scoring stole the show versus the Bobcats. The Wildcats led by nine at the half behind torid 58% marksmanship and were never challenged with a 10-17 mark on threes and a 26-32 effort at the charity stripe saying the team didn't miss much of anything. Davion Berry paced the scoring spree with 20 points with Jordan Richardson right on his heels with 19 points followed by Richaud Gittens and Jeremy Senglin tossing in 14 and 12 points.
Sacramento State has been hot, they are a good cover team but are awful on the road which is not good when facing Weber State. I'll take the points but really don't know if it's enough...
