Meanwhile, San Diego sits in sixth place in the conference at 7-10 and comes in off a 69-66 upset of Gonzaga Sunday. The Toreros were outdone from the floor 50.0 percent to 40.4 percent and from outside the arc 46.2 percent to 36.4 percent, but converted 23 of 33 from the free throw line to the Bulldogs’ 6 of 11. Junior G Johnny Dee scored a team-high 16 points on 5 of 12 shooting, sophomore G Duda Sanadze had 15 points and 5 rebounds, and senior F Dennis Kramer added 9 points and 7 boards. On the season, San Diego is averaging 66.9 ppg on 44.8 percent shooting. Dee leads the team in scoring with 17.0 ppg, followed by Sanadze at 13.3 ppg.
Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -5 for BYU. San Diego did just upset Gonzaga, but the Cougars trampled the Toreros 87-53 at home in the beginning of January and they just have too much size to contend with. Look for BYU to cover.
