The Central Florida Knights take to the road to face the Southern Methodist Mustangs at Moody Coliseum.
When you look at the AAC it is divided in to half with very good teams and ones that are struggling with no in between. Central Florida is on the struggling side of the ledger although they picked up a 67-65 victory over Rutgers who have had their problems as well. Having said that, it was a solid effort with UCF coming back from a nine point hole with 39% shooting getting the job done thanks to a 19-5 advantage at the stripe. Tristan Spurlock paced the scoring with a game high 23 points and five yanks followed by Isaiah Sykes with 14 points and seven boards while Kasey Wlson chipped in with eleven points.

With only three games remaining in the season Southern Methodist won't be winning the conference although third place is completely up for grabs. The Mustangs have themselves right in the middle of the race for third following an impressive 64-55 decision at Connecticut on Sunday. The defense set the tone with UConn held to 25 first half points on less then 30% shooting while committing 17 turnovers altogether. SMU shot the ball at a respectable 46.7% which added up to five more field goals. Nic Moore and Nick Russell each scored 15 points and handed out nine helpers with Markus Kennedy tossing in 13 points and snagging seven rebounds.
Not much to say here except Southern Methodist wins big if they play well or even care. Too much chalk for me to consider...
