The Athletics-Recreation Center and the Valparaiso Crusaders end the season with a visit from Cleveland State.
Win or lose the final game of the regular season and Cleveland State stills owns the second spot in the Horizon. The Vikings locked up second by virtue of a 70-69 overtime decision against visiting Youngstown State on Tuesday that was more difficult then most had anticipated as neither team shot the ball well. The Vikings connected at 39% from the floor with the Penguins responding at 37% with eleven bombs keeping them competitive while the Phoenix owned a 19-6 edge at the strip. Bryn Forbes led the offense with 15 points with Anton Grady adding 14 points and eight boards while Charlie Lee and Trey Lewis netted ten points each.

Valparaiso is tied for third with Wright State with each team having one game left so it's obvious what can happen. The Crusaders had their opportunity of taking sole possession of third dashed Tuesday with a 67-58 road loss to none other then Wright State as they trailed by nine after 20 minutes and were never able to generate a rally. Valpo shot the ball well enough at almost 47% but 19 giveaways killed them and made a winner of the Raiders 45%. Alec Peters and Vashil Fernandez were the only double digit scorers with a combined 21 points and nine rebounds with Keith Carter chipping in with eight.
Valparaiso has more at stake and the danger here is they just go through the motions which is a bad thing when money is on them. For that reason I would look elsewhere...
