The Syracuse Orange travel to Virginia to play the Cavaliers on Saturday afternoon.
Syracuse improved to 26-2, 13-2 ACC after beating Maryland on the road 57-55 on Monday night. On the season, C.J. Fair leads the Orange with 16.5 points per game while also averaging 6.1 rebounds per contest. Trevor Cooney is averaging a second-best 12.8 points per game, while Tyler Ennis is averaging 11.8 points per game and a team-high 5.6 assists per game. The Orange are shooting 44.4% from the field while averaging 68.8 points per game as a team this season. Syracuse is a decent rebounding team, averaging 35.1 boards per game. After losing two straight games against Syracuse at home and Duke on the road, the Orange bounced back to get a tough win at Maryland. The Orange will hit the road again for what will be the biggest game of the season for both teams.

The Virginia Cavaliers improved to 24-5, 15-1 ACC after beating Miami at home 65-40 on Wednesday night. On the season, Malcolm Brogdon is averaging a team-high 12.3 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game. Joe Harris is averaging a second-best 11.5 points per game, while Akil Mitchell is averaging a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game. The Cavaliers are shooting 45.2% from the field while averaging 65.9 points per game as a team this season. Virginia is a good rebounding team, averaging 35.9 boards per game. The Cavaliers are on a roll as they have won twelve straight games, all in conference play. Virginia sits atop the ACC standings and this will be their biggest challenge of the year. This will be the most watched and biggest game of the weekend, if not the year for the ACC. The ACC regular season title is on the line and Virginia would like to keep rolling with their thirteenth straight win come Saturday.
Syracuse has lost two games over the past two weeks and even their wins have not come easy as of late. The Orange will struggle to score against the outstanding Cavaliers defensive scheme. Virginia will find some holes in the Syracuse zone and they will knock down some big shots on their home floor. I think the Cavaliers win and take control of the ACC standings on Saturday.
