The Saint Louis Billikens will look to bounce back from an embarrassing home loss that snapped their 19-game winning streak when they travel to play the VCU Rams. These teams played earlier this month and St. Louis won 64-62.
The Billikens lost 71-64 to Duquesne on Thursday, as they shot 17.4 percent from beyond the arc and turned the ball over 16 times. It was their first loss in conference play and their first loss in the 2014 year. We knew it was coming eventually due to the close games they’ve been experiencing, as they’re averaging 69.6 points and allowing 68 points in their last five games. On the road, they average 70.3 points and allow 62.5 points. They are 9-16 ATS overall and 4-8 ATS on the road.

The Rams are coming off of a three-game road trip and have lost three of their last five games. During this stretch, they’re averaging 75.2 points on 41.8 percent shooting and allowing 70.8 points on 44.3 percent shooting. They are 11-1 SU this season when scoring at least 80 points. At home, they average 79.1 points and allow 62.3 points. They are 13-13 ATS overall and 5-6 ATS at home.
This is a perfect spot to take VCU. It’s the Rams first home game in about three weeks, Saint Louis is coming off a heartbreaking loss and the Rams have confidence they could win given that they just took the Billikens down to the last shot.
VCU is 4-1 ATS in its last five home games against a team with a winning road record greater than 60 percent. The favorite has also covered the spread in four of the last five meetings between these two teams.
Take the Rams, as they’ll be ready for this game.
