The Line: Florida International Golden Panthers -5.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Florida International Panthers will play their last home game of the season when they host the Tulane Green Wave on Sunday.
The Green Wave head into the matchup on a two-game winning streak and have won five of their last seven. And although they’ve been winning a lot recently, they’re still allowing 68.6 points on defense and averaging just 64.8 points on offense in their last five games. A lack of offense has been an issue for this team all season, but they’re only 7-4 SU when scoring 70 or more points. On the road they average 64.4 points and allow 73 points. They are 13-10 ATS overall and 5-6 ATS on the road.

The Panthers have really fallen apart, losing four straight and seven of their last nine games. During their losing streak, they’re averaging 69 points on 42.7 percent shooting and are allowing 75.2 points on 47 percent shooting. The lack of defense is out of character for this team, but so are the 28 rebounds they’re averaging considering they snag 36.4 boards on the season. They average 64.8 points and allow 66.5 points on their home court. ATS, they are 10-11 overall and 5-4 at home.
This spread makes me think twice a little bit, but if forced to pick, I have to go with the Panthers at home. It’s senior day and they’ll be eager to end the season on a positive note. Not only that, but the Green Wave have lost three of their last four road games and all of them have been in blowout fashion.
Florida International hasn’t played well at all for two weeks, but returning home for the final time this season will reenergize the team and produce its best effort.
I’ll eat the chalk in this one.
