The Line: UAB Blazers +4 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will go on the road and play the UAB Blazers.
The Bulldogs have won six of their last seven games and are doing so at both ends of the floor as they have all season. In just their last five contests, they’re averaging 73.8 points on 42.3 percent shooting and are allowing 60.2 points on 43.7 percent shooting. They’re coming off a win over Middle Tennessee where they held the Blue Raiders to just 39 points and 16.7 percent from downtown. We knew about the offense all year, but the Bulldogs have been playing elite level defense as of late. They average 79.1 points and allow 71.5 points on the road. They’re also 12-10 ATS overall and 6-7 ATS on the road.

The Blazers are coming together at the right moment, winning three straight and four of their last five games. During this stretch, they’re averaging 71.4 points on 40.2 percent shooting and are allowing 66 points on 41.7 percent shooting. They also continue to dominate the glass, snagging nearly 15 offensive rebounds per game and six more boards overall than their opponents. At home they average 74.8 points and allow 66.3 points. They are 11-13 ATS overall and 4-7 ATS on their home court.
Although UAB has been great at home (12-3 SU), Louisiana Tech is the much more balanced team and cancels out UAB’s rebounding advantage. The Blazers average 45.3 rebounds per game, while the Bulldogs average 39.8 rebounds. The only real advantage UAB has in this game is home court. I’ll take the better overall team over the home crowd any day of the week.
The Bulldogs are fighting for a C-USA title, they’ll get the job done on the road and cover the small number. v
