The GB Hodge Center and the South Carolina Upstate Trojans host the North Florida Ospreys in an A-Sun quarterfinal tilt.
North Florida was a competitive Atlantic Sun team that finished in a three way tie for fourth at 10-8 that struggled defensively with 74 points allowed on over 45% shooting. Consistency was an issue with the Ospreys winning a few, losing a few and never being able to string the good times together. The flip side was UNF avoided losing streaks even though we never knew what to expect from each end of the floor on any given day. Dallas Moore and and Travis Wallace were the heart and soul of this offense with a combined 25 points with Beau Beech averaging around ten points to give the attack a trio of dependable scorers.

South Carolina Upstate was just one game ahead of the logjam in fourth with an 11-7 mark but they were a bit unheralded and lesser known then Mercer and Florida Gulf Coast. The Spartans were competitive because they could do some scoring and played defense reasonably well. Both ends of the floor had a hand in a very solid 9-3 run to close the season that made this one of the hottest and more dangerous squads in the postseason. USC Upstate possess three of the better offensive scoring players in the conference in Torrey Craig (17 ppg), Ty Greene (14.6 ppg) and Ricardo Glenn (13 ppg) so this team can not be over looked.
North Florida dropped both meetings to USC Upstate by eleven points in each and are trying to avoid third loss which should provide plenty of incentive. I believe the line is pretty tight so if the Spartans are at their best we might see a a close cover...
