The Boston University Terriers meet the Lafayette Leopards in a Patriot League quarterfinal bout.
Lafayette reached the conference quarterfinals by outscoring Loyola-Maryland 84-71 on Monday night. The Greyhounds could not stop the 63.6% shooting Leopards and with leading scorer Dylon Cormier out, this was an up hill battle from the opening tip. The Greyhounds mustered just 40% accuracy but stayed reasonably close on the strength of 18 more looks with strong offensive rebounding before eventually fading. Leading scorer Seth Hinrichs tossed in 22 points and snagged five pulls with Joe Ptasinski netting 18 followed by Nick Linder and Bryce Scott with 14 and 12 points with five pulls each.

Boston University's move from the America East to the Patriot League was flawless and probably better then expected. The Terriers obviously benefitted from a down year from some of the bigger names to win the conference by two games with a 15-3 record. A season ending victory over second seed Holy Cross secured the league crown and gave BU victories in seven of eight to end the regular season. BU outscored opponents 71-68 but were extremely consistent that made average numbers work out. The Terriers went eight deep with with do everything Maurice Johnson Jr. leading the way with 13 points, 3.6 pulls and over 6.5 assists while the entire rotation mustered between 5-13 points.
BU knocked off Laffayette twice this season and we kknow how difficult it can be to beat a team three times especially by a decent margin. Based on what I saw from the Leopards versus Loyola-Maryland this is dangerous
