The Line: UNLV Rebels +3 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The San Diego State Aztecs and UNLV Rebels are two teams looking to build a little momentum with the conference tournament right around the corner. These teams played back on January 18, and the Aztecs won 63-52.
The Aztecs have been a little shaky lately, losing two of their last six games, with both losses coming on the road. The road has been tough for them all season, as they average 68 points on 42.6 percent shooting and allow 63.1 points on 44.9 percent shooting. The opponent shooting percentage is a five-percent increase from their season average. However, they are coming off of a big 82-67 road victory over Fresno State. The Aztecs are 15-10 ATS overall and 9-4 ATS on the road.
The Rebels have lost three of their last seven games are now just trying to avoid falling any further in the conference standings. In their last five games, they’re averaging 78 points on 47.7 percent shooting and are allowing 71.6 points on 41.4 percent shooting. They’ve scored in the 90s twice in their last three games. At home, they average 71.6 points and give up 64.7 points. They are 18-10-1 ATS overall and 9-8-1 ATS on their home court.
This will be a lot closer than their earlier meeting with UNLV playing at home. Another thing to like about the Rebels is that they match up well with the Aztecs in the paint, as they average 40.3 rebounds per game. Call me crazy, but I think UNLV could win this game outright.
The Rebels are looking for a signature win before heading into the tournament. They’re also 4-1 ATS in their last five games, while the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these two teams.
Give me UNLV and the points all day.
