The Weber State Wildcats travel to the Stott Center to face tthe Portland State Vikings on Thursday.
Weber State could have been celebrating the Big Sky championship if they could have beaten Northern Arizona on there own floor Saturday. However, a 73-71 overtime loss to the Lumberjacks has the Wildcats needing to win one of their final two games or have North Dakota lose. This just wasn't a great effort with NAU up nine at the break on 49% marksmanship with the home team hitting at 47%. Davion Berry carried the offense with 23 points and nine rebounds with Jeremy Senglin netting 18 followed by an eleven point effort from Richaud Gittens.

Portland State is one game out of fourth with two to play so they don't control their own fate. The Vikings definitely have to win both of their games and hope for some help which is far from an impossible feat in the Big Sky. The Vikings have been playing well as winners in three of four following a 77-68 victory at Northern Colorado on Saturday. A 45 point second half erased a five point hole behind red hot 55% shooting which easily countered the Bears 40% and negated their 13 extra looks. Gary Winston gave the Vikings 22 points and seven helpers followed by a 16 point effort from Tim Douglas while DaShaun Wiggins tossed in another 14 points.
The Big Sky can be just brutal to figure out and sometimes I just throw my hands up and look elsewhere usually. This looks like one of those times...
