The Washington Huskies and the UCLA Bruins face off on Thursday in Pac-12 college basketball.
The Washington Huskies have won their last two games but they sit in a tie for seventh place in the Pac-12 standings. Washington is 8-8 in the Pac-12 and 13-3 at home this season. C.J. Wilcox is averaging 8.2 points to lead the Huskies in scoring. The UCLA Bruins have won eight of their last 11 games but every time UCLA appears ready to take their game to the next level they take a step backwards. UCLA is 11-5 in the Pac-12 and 6-5 in games away from home. Jordan Adams leads the Bruins averaging 17.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Kyle Anderson is averaging 14.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game, Norman Powell is averaging 11.2 points, and Zacj LaVine is averaging 10.7 points. UCLA is averaging 82.6 points and they are shooting 48.9 percent while defensively they are allowing 71 points and their opponents are shooting 42.6 percent. UCLA will be in the NCAA Tournament but their seeding is a question mark.
Washington is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 6-2 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 2-7 against the spread following a win by 20 or more points. UCLA is 5-2 against the spread following a win, 11-3 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread, and 4-1 against the spread in Thursday games. The road team has covered the point spread in five of the last six meetings of these two.
My free pick in this one is going to be on the total and it is sky high so it is just a lean to the over. My stronger play is on who will cover the spread and I will post that pick in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
